So, the day before yesterday I was watching Tsubasa-- just to, you know, marvel at the KuroFai-ness in action. Suddenly, Madalyn came upstairs, and said, "Ohh, is that Tsubasa? I didn't know there was an anime too! I want to watch!"

We argued and, long story short, she eventually got to watch with me. -.- We squee'd at the Fai parts together, she aww'd at Mokona, giggled at Kuro-pu, laughed aloud with me at Fai's nicknames. (Especially when I showed her the "Kurgie-pie", "Kurger-burger", and "Kuro-cutie" clips...xD...oh, Fai...).

Anyway, at one point, we were watching Tokyo Revelations, and they showed an undeniably adorable Syaoran/Sakura moment, at which Madalyn rolled her eyes but said "aww", and at which I scoffed.

She asked me, "What, do you not like them?"

And I replied, "Meh. They're all right...but they're the obvious couple..."

To which she answered, slightly surprised, "You mean--?! Kurogane and--?!" (I will say, my sister does not usually get things, but she was right on dot here...)

We’ve never really talked about this kind of thing. Like, you know, gay-ness. We watch and love Ellen, she’s convinced (though she’s never said it aloud) that one of my best friends is gay, but we’ve never mentioned it aloud. I fell awkward just saying the word, ’cause it seems so harsh when I’m talking to her.

And, thinking she was going to laugh or poke fun, I replied, "Well, yeah...I mean, it's not exactly proven yet, but it kind of is..." I explained to her that CLAMP does that a lot, and the whole ‘love-has-no-boundaries’ thing.

Her initial reaction was to giggle and say only, “Hatsuharu and Yuki!” She then said nothing more on the subject. I figured she'd laugh later on in the episode, when Kurogane is holding the injured Fai. But she didn't.

Well, okay. She did. But not for that reason. She apparently found it very, very hilarious that Syaoran ate the eye...-.- She started giggling uncontrollably when Kuro-pu growled, “Did you eat his eye…?”

But, anyway, later on that evening we were looking at the Tsubasa fan-book-thing. I quizzed her to find out which character and world she is (Mokona and Hanshin Republic -- very fitting xD) and then we looked at the ‘favorites’ section-- you know, where fans send in votes on what their favorites are. Specifically, we looked at the favorite couples.

She asked, “What’s number one?”

And I replied boredly, “Syaoran and Sakura. But KuroFai is number two!”

And she said very boldly, “I’m pretty sure they’re my favorite.”

Ahh. I don’t think I’ve ever been more proud. xD

She’s reading Tsubasa now, and when Touya and Yukito showed up, she turned to me and said, “Are they…? Too?” And I nodded, at which point she laughed, “Wow, they really do do it a lot… usually writers are scared to…” (She has not read much manga. XD Only Fruits Basket.)

Anyway, I've officially decided that, though she is very often annoying and very often a brat, I don't really mind my sister all that much.
